Experimental Pocket RxTx version (0.9) & jAReC 0.9

I'm talking about the button in the right part of the tuning knob.

When disabled, a red cross is over the "sync" button.

I am starting by complete uninstalling old version of Prxtx drom my phone.
Next erase manually all directory prxtx in the root
Next I make a clean install of version 9.0.16a
select Network and radio ic-7300 and select SV3AQT file.
I start the application and while the radio turns on the application seems to be very unresponsive. I. e. memories do nothing....they do not change the frequency....
other buttons such as NR or Filters do not change also....
pressing the Function button sometimes work and sometimes does not.....
I am not using the audio bease I use skypeople instead.
audio is off but encryption is on.
the pc is running Win XP with Jarec v 9.0.

Version prxtx 9.0.11 is running on the same conditions in my phone and pc with no issues at all.

I see that in the new version you can have many functions keys 1,2,3,4 etc. How do you define this in the configrati on file?
I am also still having issues reading the s meter because Icon sends variable length (1 or 2 bytes) in response to the command. So I canot read s meter neither swr or power during tx mode.

Did you deactivated the radio feedback? This must be the default in 0.9.0-16.
What do you mean by "memories do nothing"? You try to save something in a memory using a long press on the memory button?

This means that the set index does not change on the Fn button when you press it?

What's the Java version on your Windows XP? As I know, Java 8 is no more supported on Windows XP and jAReC 0.9.0-16 needs Java 1.8_xxx.

Variable length answers are not yet supported and I still have to find a way to do it.

I have not deactivated radio feedback. Did not know that default should be off.
Memories neither store nor they recall the frequency.

Yes that is correct.

Yes I am using jARec 0.9.16. But this does not seem to be a problem because with XP and prxtx v 9.0.11 is working perfectly ok. If there was a problem with java and XP I suppose there would be a problem with all versions of Prxtx not only v9.0.16.
I am using Java 8 update 101. Seems to be working ok in XP.

I will try once again with feedback deactivated to verify that this is not the issue.

Hi Thanasis,

It looks like your interface is locked. If you long press on Fn button when the radio is on, then you lock the interface and the label of the Fn button goes"LOCKED".
Radio feedback is disabled by default in version 0.9.0-16. It must be manually activated.
It may help if you can make a short video with the application behavior and post it here. Maybe I can better understand what is happening.

after several attempts of installing and uninstalling I have finally managed to make it work.
I am not sure what exactly the problem was but it was not something obvious such as interface Locked or something else.

I have couple of points here:
1. I have SETS=4 and there are 4 sets of function option buttons but how do you set them in the configuration file?
I could not find it in the manual. There are BTN_OPN1_FN and BTN_OPN1_NOFN for example but how do we set OPN1 button for FN3 or FN4? is it BTN_OPN1_FN3 ?

2. I have set BTN_LONG_OPT1_FN to some value but with long press it does not seem to do anything. The same happened in all versions of Prxtx v9.0.11 and v9.0.16

I installed the latest JaRec software. that worked fin with my Pocket RxTx version 0.8
Because I saw you improved some nice thinks in the Beta version of Pocket RxTx version 0.9 I removed the version 0.8 and replaced it by 0.9

I had some strange issues;
1. Connecting went without problems but now of the buttons or commands seemed to work. No audio also.
2. After checking and removing every file related to version 0.8 I reinstalled 0.9 again and now it worked. Mic audio worked OK but no receiving audio!
3. All functions checked and worked. even the S-meter showed action but after I programmed M2 with a set frequency and mode the program was completely frozen. quiting the program and starting up didn't solve the issue. Also no mic audio anymore.

Any suggestions?

By the way I bought license in May this year. this was lost now with the removal of all files. How can I get it back? and is it still valid for version 0.9

After such a major upgrade is better to do a full config reset, which now delete everything and close the app.
I suppose you are using both jAreC 0.9.0-16 and Pocket RxTx 0.9.0-16

Reinstall the paid version 0.8.1-x from Play Store. You will not be asked to pay again.
The paid and experimental versions can be installed in the same time. If the paid version is installed, then the experimental version is automatically registered and gives you access to all the new features, as staring with this version not all features are available in the free version.
