Pocket RXTX version 0.5 available for download

Hi all,

Pocket RXTX version 0.5 is now available for free download in Play store (or for update if you installed a previous version).

What's new in 0.5 comparing with 0.4.1-3:
- USB CAT support in FT8x7 mode (Only FTDI and CP2102 based USB-Serial adapters are supported for the moment);
- ask to activate Bluetooth if disabled at application startup;
- added support for : FT-840, IC-718, IC-746pro in HRD mode;
- symbol added on the main screen to display current mode (HRD, SDR, Bluetooth, USB);
- better handling memory load/save/edit;
- optimize feedback (Freq, mode, PTT, S) in HRD mode;
- better handling MODE/PWR/BW wheels updates;
- real power read for FT817 at startup or band change (not only 5W/0.5W);
- Max Power no more on the display as it is represented by the wheel;
- Max power saved for each memory location;
- other small bug fixes;
- small cosmetic changes;

Bugs solved:
- no graphical representation for S level;
- the power is not set correctly for some transceivers (ex. IC-7200);
- memory edit field overwritten by the frequency digits in portrait mode;
- when starting in SDR mode the BW wheel does not correctly represent current BW
- last freq/mode/BW not saved in SDR mode if exit;

Downloaded latest version yesterday.....love the APP but having trouble keeping it connected to HRD via home network. Any ideas?

Can you provide more details? What happen with the connection?
It can be an issue with your local Wireless connection?

I am using HRD v.5.22 with FT-100. PC is connected via ethernet to LAN. Now problems here. Running APP on HTC Inspire 4G smartphone, Android V.2.3.3 connected to Wireless LAN at a distance of about 1 meter from router.
The APP will freeze from time to time and will display a frequency reading of "0.03200 MHz". Powering the app off and the on, will reset app and display correct information from HRD. This happens more frequently when commands are sent to HRD from smartphone. I checked operating parameters on my wirless router and all looks ok. Thanks for looking!

Hi,
Usually you you read that strange frequency when HRD loose connection with the transceiver.
I will try to see if I can replicate this behaviour here.

Have you tried with another Android device?

The same problem for me. Icom7000, i try Lan and Wan connection. Hdr last 5.x version. Previous version of pocket rxtx work ok on the same configuration.

It would be very usefull if you can find a clear sequence of actions which generate this behavior.

This i obtain 3x in last half hour. Ocurs after 0,32MHz problem if i dont restart app imediately and only off an on comunication, frequency are ok. Mode and power is not reading correctly
