A new experimental version is available for download (0.9.0-4).

Changes from 0.9:
- USB mode updated to support many more devices and to display device details
- use full screen (Immersive mode - hide navigation buttons) if Android >= 4.4 (KitKat)
- user defined hardware key for PTT
- separate configuration pages for each direct CAT mode (USB/NET) to eliminate the confusion from previous versions
- possibility to edit/modify radio address for iCOM transceivers at a later time.
- when reinitialize all, delete the prxtx folder too
- check version and inform user about available updates (one time at 10 servers load)
- better validate radio address for iCOM
- Android modified theme with some animated controls
- support for RigExpert WTI-1 interface - work in progress. For the moment only the configuration GUI is functional

Solved bugs:
- application hangs completely when resetting or if freshly installed

Use it ONLY with jAReC >= 0.9

Works fine on the TS 570. Just had a QSO while I was in for an oil change service.
No need for microphone interface for me it works directly through my home made interface that I use for digital modes.
Seems that the font is bigger too.

To use this version please upgrade jAReC to version 0.9.0-1 from here:

What's new in this version:
- heartbeat to check at ~8s the link with jAReC and restart listening if dropped (only with Pocket RxTx >= 0.9.0-10.

For clarity, here are the Pocket RxTx changes from 0.9.0 and up:

- add support for RT Systems USB CAT cables (FTDI based, but with proprietary VID:PID)

- when switching from WebSDR to Direct CAT mode you are prompted to load radio config even if there is a radio already available
- java error when removing a radio config from the list
- the wheels (usually Mode and Power) resets to the first item when changing orientation
- PTT button label sometimes duplicated

Actually testing it. The Look is great. I noticed some laggyness when switching frequencies in CAT Mode.

Hi.
This lag may be related to the baudrate and the number of commands added in the radio feedback.
It may be related to the new way PTT is implemented. Please see if you can find a pattern for this behavior.

I have dabbled with RxTx version (0.9) & jAReC 0.9 and it is running, but has trouble getting it to a switch mode from usb to ssb and NR IPO AGC
(NR VFO seems to work)
I use the YAESU FTdx5000 and Android ver 5

PTT runs ok, but only with radio vox on

Hello,

Are you using the latest version of the apps (Pocket RxTx v0.9.0-11 and jAReC 0.9.0-1)?
I don't have a FTDX5000 to test, but please check the commands that don;t work in the config file.
You are using PTT over CAT or over RTS on a different port?

PTT must be able to work without VOX.

Hello,

I am using Pocket RxTx version 0.9-11 and Jarec 0.9. I have Windows 10 on my computer and Android 6.0.1.
My Radio is Yaesu FT-450D. I loaded the default radio file for that model. Pocket Rx TX connects to the computer and sends audio, but it does NOT control the radio at all. No frequency changes etc.

However, if I load pocket rxtx version 0.8.1-1 and connect it to the appropriate Jarec (0.8.1) It does send audio and I am able to control the radio.

Any ideas?

What's the exact version of jAReC 0.9.x you are using?
Please try version 0.9.0-3 from here:
https://www.yo3ggx.ro/jAReC/jAReC_v0.9.0-3.zip

What's new from 0.9.0-1:
- Add RTS/DTR power for the interface (ex for FT-991)
- some bug fixes

Please check the following in jAReC:
- Baudrate (to be the same as the one set in the radio)
- the correct COM port selected in jAReC
- select first PTT over CAT

A new experimental version of Pocket RxTx will be available on my web site till the end of the week. A lot of new features and bug fixes are included.
