Couple quick items and may be too basic of questions but I am new user.
1) I selected the CABLE DATA option which opened the window. I do not
know how to close it. If I press the go back button it takes me back to the initial
page where I have to select the START button. When I do that i am then sent back to CABLE DATA.
2) I did find the HELP file but cannot seem to find a way to print it.

I found the menu button that gets me out of CABLE DATA.
I have to find a way to print the HELP files so I have them handy
and don't have to flip back and forth.

You can change between modes using the application menu.

Everything seems to start well to the point of Reflection Calibration.
The wizard asks me to do OPEN Calibration. I do not find the option of Closed or 50ohm.
Same thing in Transmission mode

Hi Barry,
If you are using miniVNA standard then there is no short or load calibration. That type of miniVNA use just open calibration for reflection and loop calibration for transmission.

I select MODE-REFLECTION, CALIBRATE band do OPEN calibration.
I select TRANSMISSION then Calibrate. On left side of screen shows TRA es M buttons
Press M, press CALIBRATE, 3 button calibration mode pops up, there is transparent T in background.
Press RECALIBRATE es am told to use OPEN reference
I think ur advice this is where I should connect short cable?

Hi Barry,
I hope I understand correctly your question.
For miniVNA standard transmission calibration you need to connect a short 50ohm cable between DUT and DET connectors.
