Hi,

Please use this thread to post your own config file for any ICOM radio. This will help the other users. Most popular functions will be added to the default radio config file included in the package.

Thank you,
Dan YO3GGX

Hello Dan,
I have been able to connect to the PC software (jAS2SECNet v0.5-1) with my Samsung Tab 3 however I receive a message: "connected over network without" and the tablet does not read the radio settings nor control any radio function. Below I have included my config file. Can you advise please? Thank you.

Hi Jerry,

Are you using Pocket RxTx version 0.7.1-19 and jAS2SecNET 0.5-1 from here?

The app config file you've sent is not user editable. Only the radio config file is.
Please be aware that current version does not support feedback from the radio. This will be added in the next release (work in progress).
Things to do:
- first completely reset the config file by a long click on START button and then ALL in the startup page.
- switch to direct CAT mode and select your Icom model
- select Network as connection mode
- short press on START button
- you will be asked to enter the right address for your transceiver. Most of the time from my experience the "universal" address does not work. Check in your radio menu if you don't know the address of your Icom radio
- enter your callsign
- enter the setup menu in Pocket RxTx and configure: Use authentication, Secret, hostname, port and click SET
- use authentication in both jAS2SecNET and PocketRxTx with the same secret
- check that the Baudrate in jAS2SecNET is the same as the one set in the radio CAT menu.

Dan I do have the files in the same directory but I do not know what action to take on "0.7.1.19.apk". Do I copy it to my tablet?

Hi,

You just need to copy the files to the Radios subfolder in the application folder on the Internal Storage of your tablet.
At next start the new radio will appear in the list.

I have my latest config-file for the ICOM IC -7000 with Tune option and modified filters available.
I can send it on request PM or Dan can put it in the forum.

Hi Fokko,

Your config for IC 7000 is already available in the central repository with the name PA3VOS.

Thank you for your contribution,
Dan

Hello,
I'm just install the app and using the ic718 with no filter, should i use CMD_SET_MODE_USB_WIDE or SET_MODE_USB_NOR ?
Thanks, Pascal

Hello Pascal,

From the CI-V protocol specification, mode and filter are set in a single command.
NOR comes from normal, so if you want standard bandwidth, use SET_MODE_USB_NOR.

thanks a lot, using version 0.8.1-1 only for bluetooth cat control. I have some difficulties to set mode. Will try the new version also.
