I am a new user. This question is pretty dumb, but here it is: can this app be used smartphone-only, without my radio attached?

I can receive stations when I connect. But when I push the PTT, I still hear audio. Is this full duplex, or am I missing something? Do I need to be authenticated? I have a U.S. amateur license. Thank you

Hi Orrin,

First welcome to this forum.
The application has two main operation modes: as a websdr client (receive only) and direct CAT.
You can transmit only in direct CAT mode, but for this you need a physical transceiver.
To better understand what the application can do, please read the user guide available online here:
http://www.yo3ggx.ro/pocketrxtx/doc07/index.html
or as a PDF file here:
http://www.yo3ggx.ro/pocketrxtx/doc07/index.html

New features will be added in the new version. Some prereleases will be posted here(before pushing to Play Store):

Hope this clarify your question.

Thank you for your feedback.
