Hi Dan,

Thank you for your Replay.
Seems to be an issue related to the Java subsystem. Sometimes audio devices are not correctly recognized. I'm using both Linux and Windows versions of fldigi myself too and encountered the same problem with jarec on an Orange Pi Zero.
Ok, then I'm soothing. I thought I had messed up my system :)
Please download a new experimental version of jarecmini (no GUI) from the link below:
https://www.yo3ggx.ro/jAReC/jarecmini_v0.9.0-18.jar
and run it from the linux console with 'java -jar jarecmini_v0.9.0-18.jar' , without any config file.
Please post here the list of audio devices you get when you run it.
Ok, I did. And you are right in the guess that there my USB 06 is not involved.
Here is the Info:
############# START ###############
jarecmini version 0.9.0-18 (2017/04/26--17:50:02)

I hope I did not forget anything.
And I can not say it often enough:
Thans you for your GREAT Support !

Hi Dieter,

Try to use 0 as audio device for both audio IN and OUT in the jsn.cfg file. Then check with pavucontrol if your USB audio interface is set as default one and if not, set it. configure the right serial ports and TCP CAT/PTT ports, etc (the config is self explanatory), set bAutostart=true and run jarecmini instead of jAReC. Please tell me it it works.

If is ok, you can set jarecmini to run as a service (depending on your specific linux distribution).

Hi Dan,

so...
I have now tried the following:
Under pavucontrol the correcly Sound Driver selected...
In the jsn.cfg Config File i have entered...
CAT Port: /dev/ttyUSB0
Audio Out Interface: 0 / and another Test with 2
Audio In Interface: 0 / and another Test with 4

Both worked with Jarec_mini v ... 18 NOT!
I had an audiosound, which sounded like a roaring lion, or rather like an LP, which is played too slowly.
This has unfortunately not worked.

But the jarec_gui works even if (see Picture codec_linux) Default is displayed.
I do not know why. But I think we deal with it later times when I have the CMD_READ commands under control.
Okay ?
... until then I have no problem with it to start a few MNal until I can work under Linux.

Thank you in advance. I think we test it then another time.
Because I would like to write another small problem ... but with a new POST ...

Greetings from Germany

Hi,

The following error occurs on my mobile phone:

I work with the experimental Pocket RxTx version 0.9.0-19 and jAReC - (j)ava (A)udio and (Re)mote (C)ontrol v0.9.0-17.
If I turn my mobile phone "turn" from the landscape to the following Java error message
java_error2
java_error2
java_error2.png (57.92 KiB) Viewed 5983 times
If I use the Pocket RxTx + v08.1-1 does not come this error message !!!
I switch to the version v ... 08xx of websdr on CAT and use thus the same Config.
Even if I use the Jarec v0.9.0-17 version, at least two minutes of a Connect until a LINK BROKEN is listed.
At least I have enough time to execute several commands and rotate my cell phone several times.
It's works perfectly..
No Java Error !!!

I work with a Samsung Galaxy S5 / SM-G900F
with Andriod Version 6.01

Thanks for Replay's ?!?

Hi Dieter.

First thing: Versions 0.8x and 0.9.x cannot be mixed. The communication protocol in 0.9.x is different. A heartbeat command is used to check the link status. This is the reason that Pocket RxTx 0.8.x and jAReC 0.9.x disconnects after around 8s.

I though that the latest version of Pocket RxTx solves the Java error when rotating. I am out of town, but I will be back home later in the evening and I will check again. For the audio issue I don;t have yet a solution, but I'm working on, as I try to make it compatible with Orange Pi Zero and I have the same issues for the moment.

I'll be back.

Hello Dan,

Yes you are right.
But that is my problem.
Unfortunately I can not work without translator.
And since some sentences are certainly misprinted?
First thing: Versions 0.8x and 0.9.x cannot be mixed.
Yes I know that.
I just wanted to show with this example that he is still NOT there.
I though that the latest version of Pocket RxTx solves the Java error when rotating.
To mention maybe still helpful?!?
...The rotation will NOT happen in Connect mode.
Standalone so WITHOUT Connect does not happen.

But as I said: everything in peace

Very Greeting from Germany

Hi Dieter,

My fault. The java error was solved in version 0.9.0-20 which is the latest one, now linked in my main web page.
Please download it from here:
https://www.yo3ggx.ro/pocketrxtx/experi ... 9.0-20.apk

Hi,

Did you configured the right audio interface in jAReC?
The TCP port for audio is automatically set to the next one after the port used for CAT, so you need to open that port too in the firewall.
