Icom 706 MkIIG -- will it work with this software?
I have an Icom 706 MkIIG rig which I would like to access via Pocket RxTx. I don't see it listed in the configs to download -- what would be necessary to add it? Also, the rig is normally connected to a Linux box -- can I connect this software to the Linux box to control the rig? Thanks!

I will add this transceiver to the repository, but in between you can use the config for IC-7000.
On the Linux computer you need to run jAReC java application available for free on my web site.
If you use Play Store version of Pocket RxTx (0.8.x) run jAReC 0.8.x. For the experimental version of Pocket RxTx (0.9.x) use jAReC 0.9.x.
The user guide is available too.
