Yaesu Ft-450D remoting

Good morning,
I wold need an help; Using your beautiful apps I managed in remoting my Icom IC-7000 without any problems.
Now I would like to help a friend of mine to remote his Ft-450d, but I need some suggests:
We already have cat control and Ptt control by Rs-232c port, now we need to "take" audio in and out. I had planned to use the mini 6 pin connector (data connector), using the pin 1 (data out) to transmit the audio (in audio in of audio pc), pin 5 (data out) to receive audio (audio out pc) and pin 2 for the common GND. To do a good job I planned to put 2 trasformers 1:1 to isolate. The problem is thath someone told to us thath this way is incorrect, cause the pin1 and pin5 of the mini 6 pin connector of the radio is only for the data transfer (digi modes) and not for the normal phony.
So I was thinking to use the TUNER 10 pin connector (thath has rx and tx in pin 4 and 5).
I hope I was clear and in your help.
Thanks a lot
Regards
Luigi
