RXTX on a Raspberry Pi

Would their be any thoughts on a version for the Raspberry Pi along with a client version for a Android phone
that would allow the control of a rig remotely?
Currently I am using FLRIG with a Raspberry PI which does work but the display and features
are not as nice as RXTX. Using VNC on a cell phone to control FLRIG is very difficult.
Its OK on a remote laptop buts its no HamRadioDeluxe.
It would be nice on a cell phone for a app to control a remote rig connected to a PI but with
a nice ease of use as RXTX
