I am new to the forum. Would like to control my Icom 7100 remotely. This is served by my wifi network located in detached building. Does the rig control software need to be a Windows box or other OS?

Re: Remote Architecture/OSs Supported?
Thanks. Not sure what 'use jAReC on PC side' means? I thought jAReC was the program that interfaces with the radio. If rig computer can be Linux wouldn't you use jAReC there also?
Re: Remote Architecture/OSs Supported?
Yes, jAReC is a java application and can be run on Linux, Mac or Windows.
