I am new to the forum. Would like to control my Icom 7100 remotely. This is served by my wifi network located in detached building. Does the rig control software need to be a Windows box or other OS?

Hi Robert,
Can be any OS with java runtime 1.8x support. Tested on Mac, Windows and Linux.
Use jAReC on the PC side.

Thanks. Not sure what 'use jAReC on PC side' means? I thought jAReC was the program that interfaces with the radio. If rig computer can be Linux wouldn't you use jAReC there also?
