Currently, only the following radio configuration files are migrated to v4 and tested (for the radios I personally own):
ICOM: IC705, IC7300
YAESU: FT450, FT817
I will continue to update the v3 radio configuration files to v4 (in alphabetical order), but this will take some time. Using the new Configuration Builder from jAReC v4 and the application user guide, anyone can create and test a config for any CAT enabled radio. You can use available configs as templates.
If you are interested in a specific radio config and do not feel confident to create it yourself, please post here and I will try to prioritize that specific one.
I need your help anyway to test and validate any new config, as the available protocol documentation for most of the radios is not always very accurate or complete.
Happy New Year!

Re: jAReC v4.0 final was released
Hello, does anyone have a configuration file for the TS570?
Re: jAReC v4.0 final was released
Hello,
No Kenwood configuration file v4 available yet, but you can easily build one starting from the FT450 config. The CAT protocol is very similar.

Hi Dan and thank you very much for the quick account confirmation.
Do you suggest to try the Yaesu 817 configuration for remoting the FT 857 ?
Thank you!

Re: jAReC v4.0 final was released
Hello.
You can start from the FT817 config, but just some of the functions will work. Unfortunately, FT8x7 transceivers have a very limited CAT protocol. In FT817 case, there are some undocumented CAT commands available, using direct EEPROM Read/Write commands, that can be very dangerous if not used carefully. Check the following link.

There are no similar undocumented CAT commands available for FT857/FT897 as I know.
I've developed some time ago a java app named FT8x7EE - Yaesu FT8x7 EEPROM analyzer, available on my web page, including documentation.

If you want and have some time, you may try to find other non-documented commands for FT8x7.

OK well noted, thanks a lot.
Is there a dual band VHF/UHF radio which you'd suggest to use, to have a quicker full CAT controls?
Thanks!
