Hello Howard,
Why are you still using Pocket RxTx v3? What is not working for you in Pocket RxTx v4?

Maybe for the same reason as me, it just doesn't work.switching of frequency ranges is not possible , only by typing manually. With the latest jarec beta, nothing works with Android. I have tried 817,857, ic7300. V3 works perfectly.

First check if is working from jAReC v4.0.5 directly(in direct mode) with the new IC756 v4 config.
Pocket RxTx v4b5 is not yet ready .

Direct mode works great. I reset the mobile phone to factory settings, but it has no effect, the fault is not in the phone. When I try to use the pocket v4 beta, I have to reset the ic7300 to factory settings. I don't understand why, I'm doing everything right. Well, I'm waiting for the published version.

Please wait a few days for Pocket RxTx v4b5 and final jAReC v4.0.5.
As sated before, jAReC v4.0.5 include major changes, some may be incompatible with Pocket RxTx v4b4.
In the mean time can you test with jAReC in client mode to connect to jAReC in Server mode (v4)?
I'm really interested to know if you find some bugs in the current jAReC v4b5 before releasing it on my web site.

Dan:
I have used the JAReC 4.05 in server mode with Pocket Pro, I already mentioned those bugs. I also used JAReC 4.05 in direct mode, and didn't find any bugs except the RTD issue where I can only start with CAT, while I need RTD. With the newer Pocket, as I said, the Pocket ap crashes when it connects to the server. The server shows it is connected for a few seconds. Also, since I am using the ICOM756 the number of usable controls is very limited, basically just Frequency, mode and xmit.

This sentence is not clear. In jAReC v4 you can set RTS for PTT. Can you detail a little bit?

I'm talking about jAReC in client mode, not Pocket RxTx.

This is for jAReC v4 in direct mode?

jAReC v4 will not start with RTS selected, only with CAT selected. this is true for server mode and for direct. I didn't test the bridge mode.

My comments on the 756 are not related to your code, just that there is not much to control on the ICOM756.
